The Habitat ReStore relies on your donations that can be sold in our ReStore. When you donate to the Habitat ReStore you are helping a local family build a brighter future. Proceeds from items sold in the ReStore help keep Habitat homes affordable.
Donations are accepted Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Free pickup is available for large items or large quantities. You may complete an online donation request and we will give you a call within 48 hours to schedule a time or you may call the ReStore at 828-758-0703. Items We Accept
Thank you for considering a donation to the Caldwell County Habitat ReStore. Your donations help build Habitat homes in Caldwell County!
We are grateful for every donation, however we may not be able to accept all items that our supporters would like to give. Listed below are items that we accept and items we are unable to accept. This list is not inclusive and some restrictions/exceptions may apply.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept broken, stained, inoperable items, or items that violate health and safety regulations. We maintain the right to refuse a donation that does not meet our criteria or standards.

Items We Do Not Accept
We appreciate every donation, unfortunately there are certain items that we may not be able to accept. Although some exceptions apply, listed below are items we do not accept:
- Batteries
- Blinds
- Cast iron tubs and sinks
- Clothing/shoes
- Computers, printers, copiers or fax machines
- Encyclopedia
- Entertainment centers/armoires
- Garage doors
- Items missing parts
- Items that do not work
- Light bulbs (florescent/CFL)
- Mattresses or box springs
- Open cans of paint/stain
- Open pesticides/chemicals
- Pianos/organs
- Shower doors
- Sleeper sofas/loveseats
- Tires
- Toys
- Tub/projection TVs
- Unframed mirrors/glass
If you are uncertain about an item, please call us at 828-758-0703. If we can’t accept the item we will try to connect you with another local organization that may be able to help.
