Volunteers are the of Caldwell Habitat!
Volunteer with Habitat!
Volunteers are the heart of Caldwell County Habitat! Volunteers build houses, help in the ReStore and mentor families through the homeownership process. Volunteers are critically important to the ministry of Habitat and there are lots of ways to get involved. THERE IS A PLACE FOR YOU, JOIN US!
Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Whether you are looking for a place to serve or an opportunity to make new friends, Habitat is a great place to get involved. No experience necessary. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Construction
Do you have a ❤️ for using your hands to serve? Help build houses! No experience is necessary. All you need is a desire to serve others by rolling up your sleeves and investing your time. Opportunities are available for carpentry, framing, siding, painting, flooring and much more.
Construction workdays are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8am – noon. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
ReStore
Do you have a ❤️ for finding hidden treasures? Volunteers are needed to sort and clean donations that will be sold in the ReStore.
Volunteer times are available in the ReStore on Tuesday and Wednesday between 9am–4pm.
Family Advocate
Do you have a ❤️ for helping someone succeed? The Family Advocate role is for you! This volunteer role is probably one of the most meaningful volunteer roles at Habitat.
As a family begins their journey to homeownership, they are teamed with a Family Advocate. The Family Advocate serves as a mentor, helping and encouraging the family along their journey.
The Family Advocate role is approximately a 12 to 18 month commitment, beginning in February of each year.
Group Volunteer Opportunities
Do you have a small group with a desire to serve? Build a Habitat home!
Single day construction opportunities are available for groups of 10 or less. Working together to build a Habitat home is a great way for your friends, family, Sunday School or small business/organization to make a difference in our world. No experience is necessary.
Team Building Opportunities
Working together to build a house alongside a future Habitat homeowner is an excellent way to bring your work team together.
This volunteer opportunity builds team spirit and shows your company’s commitment to making our community a better place to live. Various levels are available for your company from framing a house, raising walls, installing vinyl siding or interior work.
Sponsor a House
Churches, organizations, companies and individuals can become a House Sponsor!
Sponsorship packages are available from a full house to framing, roof, HVAC, windows, etc. Sponsorships have previously been done with churches working alone and working with other congregations, companies, organizations/clubs, and individuals/families building in honor or memory of a loved one.
Becoming a House Sponsor makes a huge difference in the lives of the future homeowner as well as the lives of those sponsoring the home.
